
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) represents over 140,000 workers in the United States and Canada. Members work in the finishing trades as painters, drywall finishers, wallcoverers, glaziers, glass workers, floor covering installers, sign makers, display workers, convention and show decorators, and in many more exciting occupations.
More than 7,000 employers in the United States and Canada participate in the IUPAT Industry Pension Fund. With assets in excess of $2.4 billion, the Pension Fund is managed by a joint board of trustees of contributing employers and labor representatives. The Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC) insures the benefits.
